⛺School Break Camp!

Welcome to Discovery Kids Camp! Where our day is based on learning, building independence, movement, and fun! After years in development, this Brooklyn-based program is the perfect combination of science, arts, movement, and most importantly-play. 

Daily Schedule

  • 8:30am: Check In/Open Play (check students in on Sawyer, have open play, make students feel comfortable and welcome, assist with potty breaks and drop-off)

  • 10:00am: Circle Time (Discuss daily schedule. Talk about our upcoming day using observation and team building)

  • 10:15am: Movement Class (warm up bodies, 2-3 dances that match theme of the week, obstacle course, cool down)

  • 11:00am: Snack (wash hands, bathroom break)

  • 11:30am: Music Class (warm up voices, introduce musical concept, practice with 2-3 songs, jam session, lullaby)

  • 12:00pm: Lunch (wash hands, bathroom break)

  • 1:00pm: backyard exploration

  • 2:00pm: Quiet Time (return to classroom, wash hands, bathroom break, read/rest/puzzles)

  • 2:30pm: Arts & Crafts

  • 3:00pm: Open Play until students picked up

  • 3:30pm: Pickup (snack for extended day students)

  • 3:30pm: Games (team games such as: duck duck goose, hide and seek, scavenger hunt, floor is lava, etc)

  • 4:30pm: Open Play until students picked up

  • 5:30pm: Extended Day Pickup
